Americana and well made clothing. I'm a lot happier paying for clothes that will last me a lifetime and investing in products that are sustainable. I like simplicity and minimalism.

Where are you from?
Occidental, California.
What brought you to Seattle?
I went on a road trip to Seattle and loved it so I decided to go for school.
Where did you go to school?
Cornish School of the Arts and Glasgow School of Art.
What did you study?
Fine art photography, video art, and environmental art which is installation based.
What's your dream occupation?
Curator/ Collector
What inspired your passion to be a curator?
Starting my own gallery in my apartment last december. I love being around the arts, supporting it, and enabling it.
What's currently on your personal soundtrack?
Bessie Smith, Adem, Talking Heads, Nina Simone, and James Brown.
What's your most valuable possession?
My turquoise bracelet that use to belong to my mom. She said the day she takes it off it could be mine. She never took it off. One day when I was thirteen I saw it on the counter and it hasn't left my wrist since.
What's something you never leave the house without?
My moleskin notebook and a bottle opener. You must always be prepared for a bottle of wine.

My best friend Morgan, Phylicia Rashad, and Sophie Calle
Who's someone you admire?
My Mom's cousin, Melanie. She's the most positive person I know. She is one of those people you can't help but smile when you see them.
What has been your most enlightening journey thus far?
When I was 21, myself and my boyfriend at the time, backpacked across Europe from London to Turkey. It was a four month long journey. We barely had any money and we just couch surfed.

The city of subdued excitement, Bellingham, WA.
What's your dream occupation?
A culture specialist for a company I love, with an acting job on the side. That would be Ideal!
What inspires your sense of fashion?
My mother in her 20s, mostly. She tried a new look everyday, and wasn't afraid to wear bold pieces. Old family photographs, mysticism, and 90s films.

Chloe Sevigny, Erin Wasson, Dita Von Teese, Jane Birkin, Taylor Tomasi.
What was a clothing item you loved as a kid?
I used to steal my fathers old, beat up college sweatshirt and wore it until it fell apart. I loved that thing.

Jonathan Safran Foer, T.S. Eliot, Sylvia Plath, Richard Brautigan
Who's someone you admire? Why?
My grandmother, because she went through so much and still lived happily. I admired the way she dealt with people and carried such optimism all around her.

Can you recall one of your best music experiences? (Concerts, certain records, etc.)
Sasquatch Music festival a couple of years ago when Beach House, Black Moth, Bon Iver, Crystal Castles, and Grizzly Bear played. I was with my boyfriend and best friend and I just remember a lot of laughing and running around from show to show.
If you could be anywhere right now, where would you be?
On the Trans-Siberian Railway.

I'm still waiting for that moment.
Did you make any new years resolutions?
No. I don't like making new years resolutions because they always turn out to be disappointing. I don't want to feel obligated to do something, I want to feel motivated.
Do you have any fun plans for Valentine's Day?
I'm going out to dinner with my boyfriend at The Pink Door and then watching their evening burlesque show.
